Sales Persons License – Requires that you be 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, no felony convictions, two 45 hour courses, pass the state exam and submit you application to the Idaho Real Estate Commission to activate a Real Estate License. The approximate costs for the two courses is $384.00 plus Books (approx. $115.00), for a TOTAL of $499.00. Attendance - IC 54-2022 (3), Exams for Mod 1 & Mod 2 – 75 multiple choice; passing 70%. However, additional cost outside the classroom will be required prior to licensing including but limited to fingerprinting-$45 (including $35.00
IREC processing fee), state exam-$60, errors and omission insurance-$148, and
licensing-$160. There maybe also additional fees, including membership in a trade organization & joining multiple listing service-$350, etc. Thus, a student could anticipate initial start up cost of approximately $1,500.00 including the educational requirements.
Fingerprinting – Completing initial fingerprinting is highly recommended at the
beginning of the classes due to processing time. A Finger Printing Company
is made available for your convenience with Genesis Training Group.
Errors and Omission Insurance – E&O insurance is required by the Idaho Real Estate Commission prior to activating a Real Estate License.

Module 1 Course Content:
Fundamentals concepts of the Real Estate Industry will be studied including: Real Estate Business and Idaho License Law, Preparing for Real Estate Practice, Going to work for a Broker, Different Perspectives of the Real Estate Market, Real Property and the Law, Legal Descriptions, Real Estate Interests, Forms of Ownership and How Ownership is held. Transferring Title to Real Estate, Conveyance Documents, Limitations on Rights of Ownership-Encumbrances, AgencyRelationships with Customers and Clients.

Sale Agreements, Closing the Transaction, Client Customer Follow-up After closing, CriticalThinking and Ethical Applications.
Course and Text Fees:
Course and text fees are due no later than the first day of the respective course. A $35
